I loved the quality of this animation and the premise of the story was very interesting too. The dude with the golden thong was priceless!
I'm really not a fan of these 30 minute episodes with no dialogue. When you make a full piece rather than a short you need dialogue. Not the kind you read, either.
That said, for $90,000 USD from kickstarter I certainly hope the next episode is more interesting than this one, story-wise. The overall plot was really unoriginal. Honestly. there are countless amateur animators who pump out equal or better quality work with more originality from their home PC. Sure, it would take them a bit longer to do a half hour animation, but you got nearly $150,000 from kickstarter to make this episode and I just do not see $150,000 worth of work in the finished product.
The sound effects and music were fine, as was the animation, though the faces left a bit to be desired.
I'm really torn on how to rate this. If this were a lone amateur animator I'd probably rate it higher, but considering my earlier point about how much money you earned to make this, I cannot justify giving you a higher rating. This should have been much better than it was.
