...Dammit I'm a sucker for happy endings and you got me really invested into that story, until the very end I thought that the kid wouldnt be okay or that the dog would turn, and yet in the end they are both reunited.
The animation is very fluid and very cute despite the grim atmosphere. Speaking of wich the chase scene in the supermarket gave a more lighthearted tone to the cartoon, maybe you felt it was too dark and too oppressing but I think the short would had a little more strenght without this comical scene. But that's my opinion.

I loved this piece a year ago and I still love it now. Though, I coulda sworn I saw it on Newgrounds, I must be mistaken, it must've been somehow linked to the YouTube version.
