Reviews for "Deterministic Dungeon"

I hit YES to keep a slow scroll effect, my auto was on, and the game froze when it was my 2nd turn after the slow spell was casted. I didn't got a attack selection neither did enemies made an action, so I had to quit.

PestoForce responds:

Hopefully refreshing got you back into the action.

If I get ONE MORE ZERO.. >:C

It's an interesting concept of the game. The amount of times I got a zero though, despite focusing every last cognitive effort on getting the item or number that I wanted was increasingly frustrating and aggravating. The fact that this is now my fault for my timing on click is just.. blah! If the player keeps missing those good drops or hits, then they'll be at a significant disadvantage.
Maybe a handicap system is in order? Get 'x' amount of bad hits/drops and slowly increase the odds of getting a good hit or drop. Getting 4 zero's in a row is very damaging

PestoForce responds:

Yeah, it can be frustrating, but practice does help!

First of all - it's a great idea for a game, and the game itself is neat, but still could use a little bit of improvement
1 Like someone already suggested, different loot tables for different amount of enemies
2 Enemies elemental weaknesses/resistance. Like skeletons being immune to poison, but weak to fire or vyverns weak to ice but immune to fire and so on.
3 Maybe adding additional loot category for elemental gems and ability to enhance weapons ?
4 I'm not a native speaker, but i hope you can understand me)
5 For such a simple game, it's surprisingly addictive

PestoForce responds:

Thanks for the review! Yes, I plan to add a lot more complexity in a sequel!

Nope. I wanted to like this, and I really, really tried, but this was an incredibly frustrating experience. My clicking finger just isn't up the the task; my accuracy never seemed to improve, and the lack of a functional quit or reset button made grinding impossible. I ended up in a Destiny-style loot nightmare in which I was constantly taunted by high-tier items while acquiring endless amounts of trash, all with the added frustration of being told that this was entirely my own fault. When I failed to get a single totem for five straight bosses and then came away from a golden chest with nothing but a fork, the urge to hurl my computer out the window told me that it was time to quit. Someone with much better luck might absolutely adore this game - but not me.

PestoForce responds:

Ha ha, sorry it was frustrating! But "luck" has nothing to do with it! ;-)

i really dont think if i was a women or men i only think this game is geart ;D

PestoForce responds:

Good! Sequel will have gender options too!
