Reviews for "Extraction (LDJAM version)"

A solid beginning for a point-and-click game. However, my two main issues are the lack of content (only real puzzle is translating the clue) and how the background seems disconnected and unnecessary. It may as well be a military installation or an alien space ship or a psychological mindscape, the game doesn't bring any details through to reinforce that.

Otherwise, a good beginning with solid mechanics.

Criobite responds:

The fact that there's not much content is mostly due to me focusing mostly on quality over quantity in this game jam. And as far as the background seeming disconnected, I actually meant to do more story-telling but it had to be left out so I could finish by the deadline!

Glad you like it though!

It's really well made, but WAY too short to really enjoy. It may just be me, but one puzzle does not a game make.

Criobite responds:

Yeah, in this jam I decided to focus on quality more than quantity. But I will be making a full game in this style soon enough! :)

well done game for having time restriction!, I loved the concept of changing rooms with clicking where/what you wanted, rather then a arrow pointing to where you should go!

awesome job, excited to see whats to come

Criobite responds:

Glad you liked it! :D

Very good! I'm making a game with the same concept... "logged into a virtual reality"

Criobite responds:

Interesting! Also glad you like my game! :D

The game looks good but the puzzle for the chest is seemingly nonsensical. I understand that the symbols on the wall correspond to the numbers on the card but every time I tried to enter the code, the numbers reset to 0000 as if I entered the wrong code.

Criobite responds:

You must be entering the wrong code, because it does indeed work! Also make sure you're pressing the green "confirm" button! :)
