Ha ha ha. Egon had better be more careful driving in the future. Oh wait, I know what happened. Jenine must have been driving. To be fair though, that didn't look like it shoudld have been remotely fatal, it came to a stop right as it hit him. He should have gotten right up, crying about a skinned knee maybe. There must have been something wrong with him already. Maybe if he landed on his head in the right way but I think he'd have to be thrown in the air better than that for that to be the explanation.
Actually, it would have been funnier if he had risen not as Casper but as... you guessed it, Slimer. And everyone would just be anticipating it would be Casper the friendly ghost because of the title and then be shocked by the origin story of Slimer. That would be classic trollage and you totally missed the ball on that one. But I can't fault you too much on it, few can be as twisted as I am.
The sad and ironic thing here is that though it's supposed to be satire, there still was an ACTUAL, LEGIT Casper cartoon that was EVERY BIT that cringeworthy. Here, I found it for you. Because death is irrelevant and nothing has any consequences because there is no death and everyone and everything becomes a ghost with no loss of self from their lives.
