Update:
For such a niche idea, this became a big collab! I appreciate all the entries we’ve been getting! You all have really cool ideas, and I’m excited to see what we can do with them. Unfortunately, between collecting entries, coordinating the efforts to make a side game that’ll be out by March, doing entries in other collabs, and life, I haven’t worked on the real final product in a while.
I know I keep saying I’m going to take a break from Newgrounds and not doing it because of other stuff happening, but this time I think it’ll be for real. After the deadline of this collab, I’m going to be taking a break from NG to just work on the game, work on the other stuff I want to do, and generally chill the hell out/stop aggravating myself with things that give me ugly thoughts.
After the deadline passes and I log off for the time being, all questions about the collab will go to my co-organizer @whimsical-wife.

probably after her break!! depending on whether or not her break ends before or after we finish the interactive gallery :) We've got a lot of work done on it but the scope of this project has expanded a lot so it may take more time than initially promised. we're doing our best though!

Traditional art is welcome, as long as the pokemon you do is recognizable enough. This means not only doing a good-quality sketch, but also scaning the art correctly afterwards

That said, I'm posting a sketch first so that one of the collab organizers can tell me if the entry is suitable. If it gets the ok, I'll finish it and post it in the appropriate image size by February 29th.

The bg enhances it alot tho! You just have to level up your environment drawin skills, which you can only do by drawing them.

Secret for both of you: Sometimes I get lazy and use stock photos for backgrounds, lol. I guess the next step might be tracing over those to better understand how to construct an environment with shapes.

This collab is primarily about PETA’s “Pokémon Black and Blue” game, though any other horror or dystopian Pokémon AU (including your own!) is fair game so long as it abides by the below rules.
How did this messed-up alternate universe get to be that way? What would your favorite Pokémon character look like if they appeared in this hellscape? Want to recreate an iconic horror movie scene with Pokémon? Or are you just dying to know what exactly a Pikachu’s innards look like? Now’s your chance to find out!
The final product will be a compiled artwork (like DioShiba’s “Pokémon Mystery Lovers” Collab), and should be at most rated M for violence/gore and some explicit text. You’re welcome to be a little bit racy with your entries, but zero nudity, pornographic content, or non-consensual sex of any kind beyond the loose implications that you get in these kinds of film posters. I’ll be the judge of whether you’ve crossed the line. (And also please don’t fetishize the gore. That’s concerning.)
Start date is today, December 13th. Deadline is February 29th, so I can post the compiled art on March 6th, the anniversary of Pokemon Black and White’s release in North America.
