AWESOME RETRONESS!!! (sorta)

Ever since Geometry Wars brought back the games of simpler times (at least graphic-wise), there's been many who try to make an awesome game with said graphics. You, my friend, have made an awesome game.

Graphics: 10
Well, what's to be said? Colorful shapes trying to take over company's server. With the theme you're going with, it's just about perfect. (well, it IS hard to make a mistake with this theme...) Everything ran pretty smooth, until flamethrowers are all around the map...

Style: 10
Again, you know my fanaticsm with retroness from above. No need to elborate again, I hope.

Sound: 6
Music is pretty decent. Nothing that isn't off-theme. However, the music does end after a few loops as others have said.

Violence: 2
Is there really any? Popping shapes really don't strike me as violent. I only put a 2 down since it does involve turrets and weapons...

Interactivity: 9
Nearly everything is interactive, just like a lot of turret games. The only thing that I request is to be able to create a custom map, though I don't know how hard that would be to implement.

Humor: 3
Yeah, protecting a server with guns. Viruses are colorful shapes. That's pretty much about it.

Overall:
This game is one of the best defense games I've ever played. Every weapon is balanced and enemies are progressively difficult. Though toning down the Easy map would be nice. Also up the sprite count on the map. I found that some of my turrets couldn't fire since there were so many shots already on the map. Overall, it's an awesome game. Keep it up!

Oh, and for all you players who can't seem to beat the game...

Squares of fully upgraded Ice Turrets with splash turrets are your best friends...
And make sure you turn down the Quality to Low. You'll need it...

And who'd thunk that a black octagon would be that strong?

Pretty Well Done

That was pretty good. The music ends after a little while, so maybe just putting it on an infinate loop. Out of curiosity, how many levels are in it? I lost on wave 51...

good except...

You made the loading time waaaaaaaaaaaay to long I am sure I had the game loaded in 1/4 the loading time make it shorter. otherwise really good game

good

was really good, i made it to lvl 32 on second try and 43 on third, really hard past lvl 40, i had like 7 maxed ice buildings, 3 lightning stunners lvl 4 or 5 (40% chance to stun), like 6 maxed flames, 2 turrets maxed, 3 lvl 2 voids, 2 lights one lvl 2 and other lvl 3, and i still got pwned :P

Fun but not deep; suffers from a lack of variety.

I have won all difficulty levels on this game except Impossible. Strategy seems to be the same most of the time.

On Easy it's simple: You can make a few errors and be okay, but if your act isn't together by level 12 you're screwed. It's necessary to build flamethrower and ice towers mid-game, but just as important to build void towers for late game damage.

The key to winning is slow+AoE damage.

Hard is the same as easy, but you have to be more careful early-game about tower placement and upgrade sequence. Very Hard is the same as hard, except that there is no room for error. The precisely correct towers in the precisely correct sequence, or bust.

Impossible is the only level I have been unable to master. The strategy would probably be similar, but a correct tower placement/upgrade sequence has so far eluded me. If anyone has passed level 11 I would truely like to know how.

The disadvantage of this TD is the lack of breadth. You can only win if you build one way, with perhaps a little variation. Figuring out how to win is still fun, but I refuse to congratulate a game which can be described only as "Force the user to, by trial and error, do exactly the right thing."

Still, a fun game for a few minutes.
