Reviews for "Can't Catch Tomorrow"

Not bad, Iris

This is one of the better quality movies I've seen in a while, and it only helps that the music is petty good. However, that only means I get to criticize you on some higher-tier details. Don't get me wrong, you did a lot of things right in this movie, but there are some little things I noticed. When she's running, her body stays level. If you watch a real person, they move up and down a little as they jog, and it almost made the intro feel weak, breaking the sense of disbelief before people even began getting into it.

The other thing I noticed was that you reused some of the shots. I keep grilling people about this, and reminding them that it's never a good idea to do that, even if it's an identical part of the song. You changed that near the end, though, at least. One thing I can't complain about, though, is the graphics; they're stunning, especially the deserted room she's sitting in. The bottom line is that this is a great animation, and you're well on your way to perfecting the craft.

Very Good!

All though slightly repetetive, there were subtle changes and I like that. This really reminds me of almost any anime intro I've seen. Not that it's not original, just the style. Hot girls, good artwork and clean animation makes this a top pick, and a spot on my favorites. I won't be too critical as this is your first flash but practice your drawing skills and consider upgrading to flash 9 or 10.

PS: Awesome Song!!

an alright muisc vidoe but overrated

The brush strokes were actually pretty clean for something basically made by an someone inexperienced in flash.

I personally find that generic anime style kinda boring to look at since it is so insanely overused.

I would recommend washing yourself of the taint of pop culture and try drawing things you see in real life.

Don't worry about making it realistic because it is basically all fantasy in the end.

You can apply a little bit more color theory to your drawings all together such as shades of light and dark a little more.

Move the shadows and change the lighting as the environment changes.

Go outside and see how light and shadows change depending on enviroment changes.

Remember your training yourself to see details noone else sees.

Anime looks cool because of the way it's colored and there backgrounds not the way the characters are drawn.

The running animation looked terrible it was just the arms and legs swinging when tweening the joints in the arms, legs would be a lot more pleasing to the eye.

Animating a complete run cycle isn't the easier thing to do but frame by frame is the best way to animate a run cycle since it appears more natural and less robot like.

A little more practice with frame by frame since most people on this site have a demand for that since they are typically far too aware of tweens.

Either go frame by frame or make your tweens more subtle.

However it is perfectly acceptable to tween backgrounds and use them to act as the movies camera.

Sorry if i was being a little hard on you but i just don't want you to become arrogant just because your first submission won an award.

So many people here became completely full of themselves cause of awards and never grew as artists.

I see a lot of potential in you but your no where near standing out above the crowd just yet.

Awesome.

This is just great,5/5 10/10 and its been faved

I really enjoyed it!

I'm not in for this art style, and the animation was sometimes lacking, but it made up for it in content. Had sort of an alice in wonderland feel to it.
