Reviews for "Can't Catch Tomorrow"

ummm....yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

fan of lostprophets and teh sort...but wat...teh....fukz?

I have a vow to watch flash animations all the way through before i rate...this is like the ONLY time ive disobeyed that rule cause i couldnt bring myself to finish it. i think i kno where ur goin, but...couldve done much better. Also some parts sorta creeped me out. However, kudos for animation and i chuckled cause i noticed Tifa at the beginning.

Ways to make it better: TOO MUCH SYMBOLISM. i agree with match words w/ lyrics but keep up pace 2. also it was pretty pointless. no story, nothing to keep you interested, nothing to draw you in, etc. In fact, i was gonna ditch it within the first 15 seconds cause it was just....ehhhhh........weird. and not the good kind. but my rule kept me on, and i still couldnt finish it.

I'm surprised that u got this high of a score and 2nd place. But grats an since it was ur first real flash, ill say u did okay. Still no excuse for this pointlessness and relative stupidity (and not the kind that makes you laugh). but ill repeat what i said earlier: good animation, good use of shadows (even though i like darker tones), and seein Tifa made me chuckle a tiny bit.

hmmm

not bad

Lol, Lostprophets. =D

Thought few people even listened to them, much less would make a collage with one of their songs. Gotta say, you really caught the emotion and meaning of the lyrics, and the animation was pleasing enough to accompany that. I gotta say that, like everyone else, the running in the hall was was a bit confusing, but easily overlooked. I can see some multiple meanings coming along here though, and while that may not be bad, it is confusing on what it's truly about. What I got was pretty much that from the run down apartment and vanished friends, and by me having already heard the songs about 50 times, is that she's basically refusing, or unable, to leave past memories and people behind, choosing to remain on the same road (lol, song quote =3) that she lived before and never moving on, never changing like her friends did. The numerous clock references I believe means that she's running out of time to indeed change, as tommorow (another one, olol) waits for no one. As the video progresses and she does begin to change herself, it shows that she's slowly catching up to tommorow, and leaving behind the past memories of her friends along the way. Yet when tommorow sadly disappears at the end, I believe that either meant she wasn't truly ready to progress forward, or simply that it's impossible to catch tommorow. All we can do is follow it, 'cus if we caught it, we'd have all the time in the world. =D Which is something I believe she wanted at several points.
/END DISCUSSION

Overall, I found it well made and done, but perhaps another song could be more awesome? Perhaps Rooftops maybe? =D

IrisAngel responds:

Prize for best review goes to you. You got what I was trying to convey 100% accurate. I'm speechless! You hit the nail on the head.

Thank you so much!!

And yes, Rooftops is a song I aspire to animate next. (With less confusing parts).

awesome
