Reviews for "Ender Story: Chapter 1"

I cant play

TheEnkian responds:

PM kyatohon, he should be able to help you.

Awesome game ! can you send me a hint about secret :D PLEASE

TheEnkian responds:

Sure thing! I'll PM you now.

Almost an exact clone of Mardek, with many things ripped straight from it, except less witty, compelling, or fleshed out. Not that Ender Story in itself is a bad game, but it's basically a reskin of Mardek with a gutted combat engine, less interesting characters and a less compelling narrative. That said the game is actually pretty fun regardless of the brazen plagiarism. In and of itself the game deserves a 4.5, but factoring in the fact that some bits such as the temple of Zeonith in Shorik are an exact copy of the temple of Yalort in Goznor, right down to the priest inside that says that long hair is ceremonial, the game gets a 3.

TheEnkian responds:

Glad that you do think the game itself is good and honestly, we did use some features from Mardek (inventory being the prime one), but we don't intend to rip the game off. I did PM Pseudolonewolf about using a feature of his over a year ago and he said that he didn't mind people using his ideas. I didn't realise that the priest in Goznor said that, that was a genuine accident and not meant to be any sort of allusion to the games.

Hopefully you stick around for Chapter 2 and find it to stand up as it's own thing. I think it'll really show that the series does have it's own identity.

Thanks for the review!

Where is Sir Render ¿? , What about Family Ties Medal, how do i get it ¿?

TheEnkian responds:

Sir Render is in the Shorik barracks, that's near the north of the city. The family ties medal is somewhat secret so I'll PM you a hint.

Nearly halfway done:

The combat although a bit slow is enjoyable. I find that the equipment upgrades come at a fair pace as you get a fair amount of gold per battle. The option to also decide how quests go is very welcome and shows effort.

Now the question I have.... How do you recruit Krat. A friend of mine finished the game and is unable to figure it out...

Thanks in advance.

TheEnkian responds:

He's hanging out in the Hashire Inn. Just toss him a sack of gold and he'll kill at your command :D
