In your game you point at themes that are deep and poignant, but do not develop or explore them at all. Conceptually it is too flat even to be considered 2-dimensional. Your game's emotional payload is a 1-note melody (death of gay lover is sad) with a thin veneer (draining superhero journey) on top. You cannot call it a twist, as it is unsurprising, studiously unengaging, and lampshaded from the beginning.
Be less stingy with animation frames, a handful of these will smooth many jagged portions of the hero's journey. When your basic game mechanic is lateral progression, spare more attention to smooth mobility and controls. There are more concerns but I'll stop there. I understand you have limited time and experience(not only coding, but project management and concept development as well), and of course putting the effort and time to make this game is better than nothing (in fact better than many of the people commenting will have done). Continue to work and create and progress your own competence and you will be better off than many.
