Reviews for "Pain That Binds Us"

Ok I really wanted to like this game, it seemed like it was gonna be pretty deep and since it was a "superhero" game, it might have even had a good combat system. Now really I think if it weren't for the annoying game controls and such, i'd think, ok that wasn't a waste of time, but sadly, there was an annoying control scheme, and a terrible combat system. At first you spawn in where weird purple zombie things come after you and try to kill you. When you get they attack you, you get stuck and you have to spam AD like 50 times. Now I looked in the description and I was like OH THE ATTACK BUTTON MY SAVIOR but the hitting was made it even worse. I found that several times I would hit a guy and it would still count as me getting stuck. And no they wouldn't even stay alive. They would die, and I would be stuck in a hitting animation, while spamming AD. And really I thought it was gonna have a deep story and I guess it kinda effected me? Maybe. It sorta just had some pictures with children at different places. So I think that the game has potential. But please, tell the players what the buttons are at the start of the game, and make the combat system more like, if you hit someone, you don't get stuck. It could have been a great game with the description, but it was so annoying for me, I couldn't get over that fact to say, Hey great message at the end of the game

Art games 101: Make a game that SEEMS like it has a good or interesting story, then have the player mash his keyboard into pudding, and in the end reveal that the entire game was about some social issue... somehow. And if you want to go the extra mile (not accusing the creator of this game of this one, just the current artsy-pantsy game landscape as a whole), if anyone critizises your game, act as if they are to blame for the social issue your game barely talks about! (E.G. if your game talks about homophobia, claim that your game is a masterpiece and that whoever critizises is just a homophobe)

at first i thought the whole point was to just tap A and D nonstop

The style is good, but hardly any gameplay elements. Story is a bit hokey.

I really liked it, I honestly wish it were longer.
