Reviews for "World of Pain RPG: C3"

Hmmm...

...We'll i'm sorry but this is okay game, but not the greatest.Random music for each map, slow walking speeds(and running speeds).I'm not too far into it,but too many quests that give too much for doing them, like 800 EXP for one quest?!?Like I said before it's too slow to move, random music,etc.,etc.

BTW,how do I get a pet?

P.S. NO F****** beginning warrior class!?!I think you should pick your class then you sprite.

Sincerely,
~Gamer4124~

Great Game

Great Game, but a few things to take consider.

1. Increasing the run speed a tad would help getting around the world.

2. Maybe add a world map or little mini map so you can remember what town your visiting.

3. Add some tooltips to show what each stat does exactly. (I didn't know what stat helps you reduce the amount of failing on an attack)

4. Reduce the price of some of the golden weapons. I had some of the golden weapons towards the end of the game, only because i sold what armors I found due to their incredible amount of money they produced.

All in all, it was fairly easy to complete. If i had problems killing something, i would just run around and kill stuff and grind out a few levels to ensure my well being. Adding a secret spot in the game where only a secret monster would attack you and drop better than average loot or money would be something to check and test next time.

Also, i had this strange bug happen to be in some fights. My attack power would be constantly full, allowing as many attacks as i could press th attack key, without ever emptying. I don't know if is caused by random? pet? or just high agility, but i did enjoy hitting the last boss over and over again before he could kill me. It was like 15-18 attacks before he could attack me. Very Cool.

In Conclusion, great game! had alot of fun and played it for hours. Maybe once you beat the boss, you could have a room where you go back and fight him again. That would be a good replay value, just to go back and kill him again and again.

Vol

Err.. Well. Could have been better.

Well, it is a nice rpg-maker produced game. I liked the menu, the desingn by itself, the combat system and the programming facts. Yeah.. But as "beginner" in working with Rpg-maker I have to tell you, that either mapping is your strongest ability nor be serious in "rpg-like" language and storylining. I was really irritated, when the music randomly changed. There was no reason! Also when you teleport from one map to another, the music began from the beginning and I think it's one of the easiest exercises to fix such little details, cause the software already gives you the possibilities to calibrate such things with one single click. The NPC's often speak similar and I thought "well, there's only one Npc who has a fable for cosplaying or so..."
Also the giant maps were not real qualitative. its better to hold on the real norms in size of rooms etc. Just look at the chests in relation to the room, it's quite unrealistic. Better have more teleport-events then creating giant map monsters. Besides it's gainful to put your world in more maps, cause you can play with the rpg-maker-sources more without getting the player bored of the same things in each room.
The Beginning was the typical "I have no idea how to start" process. Someone waked up in a bed without knowing where he is. My thought was, that your concept missed a clear storyline. The first thing before working with rpg-maker is writing a strict storybook, with climax and so one. It sounds old, but: PLEASE think on us players who want to see stories, which are planned from the beginning through the end. Authentity is almost the most important thing in this genre. The graphic could be as worse as you can imagine, when the story behind just knocks you out.

Nevertheless:
Don't get me wrong, I just want to give you some critique to work on the project, cause I think it's not quite bad as it seemes after my harsh words :) I love such rpg-games and work on one by myself. I think it will cost years to realize my concept...
I just registered cause of your game. Just wanted to help with my review. At least you brought newgrounds a new member ;)
I give you a 5/10. I think, there is more potential, just continue on hard working with rpg-maker and also search for other sources, make it more authenical, use less standard-music and graphics, that are the first steps to get a really great self-made game.

its ok

it takes a while to get action

Cute!

World of Pain!? The title and the bloody graphics at the beginning are comically misleading! LoL!
It's SO pleasant with adorable little characters and cute music! Was this intentional by the makers to be funny? Or are they really that far off? I can't tell so I'll only give 2 stars... Still made me laugh though.
