Reviews for "The Guardian Chapter 2"

Great game!

I like the fact that you kept the explorable areas nice and relatively small. It helps not getting lost going through a simple town and keeping the game moving forward. The story is nice and even a bit inovative in some respects (which is hard to do nowdays).

I noticed that after a while some areas of the game (which ran smothly in the begening) get real sluggish and refreshing doesn't seem to resolve the issue completly (each refresh is less effective). I get a mix of fast-slow areas (which is REALLY annoying is dungeons (dreams)).

Anyway I enjoyed your game and hope you make further chapters (try to make it run longer without the need for refresh though).

Thanks for the feedback. Im going to study up on as3 and I plan to upgrade it further in the next game.

Nice man

I love the this Zelda-inspired game, much improved since your last one.

UknownXL responds:

Thanks alot. Im glad you enjoyed it.

well

its pretty fun for a Zelda knockoff

UknownXL responds:

Is that a bad thing? Or a compliment?

Nifty

It's real pretty and feels really nifty. The controls are fluent enough (wish you could move sideways).
I'm troubled though because the rain outside makes the character's actions lag.
I wonder why?
My computer's not old.

UknownXL responds:

Im not sure what the issue us either. I actually have not had any problems and neither have testers or some friends. Ill look into fixing it.

Buggy

Maybe it is just me, but I noticed it seems like it didn't go though much testing. If you select the boat with no other destinations but the first town, your glitched into that screen.

On the first cut scene with the man with the knife, everytime I pressed A it went to your sponsor site.

Every time you walk out of a building at night it defauls to raining until and after maybe 500 miliseconds changes to non-raining. Perhaps raining should not have been the default weather at night.

As for me I am stuck, and since I was never told how to save in the game, I do not want to replay the beginning and get the 200 gold I have back.

UknownXL responds:

The game actually autosaves.
