Reviews for "The Guardian Chapter 2"

As many have said.

This game is very similar to Zelda, I however loved that, it's nice to have another game like that. I mean how many side scroll games are on here where you jump on monsters and collect shit, yet no one goes "this is too much like Mario". Don't worry about that crap bro. Keep up the good work. 5/5 10/10 faved.

Thanks for the review. I appreciate the kind words :D

Great!

The game is superb and well worth taking the time to play through!

Aesthetics, Game Play, Music, Animation, etc. are all top notch!

Regardless of how uncannily it resembles Zelda its a notable contribution to newgrounds and flash gaming.

awesome game

Great feeling. Didn't feel sluggish. Great graphics. The game play is smooth, fast paced, and the graphics are AWESOME. Awesome story and Very Nice and good looking. I've enjoyed it so much

UknownXL responds:

Im glad you enjoyed it. :D

It's really good.

The artwork is excellent.

But it needs a little more originality, it's too much of a callback to Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. How about instead of a sword and shield the hero wields a scythe that has an umbrella/camerashutter-like blade hidden inside to act as a shield for defending?

Also, I attacked a few things with the hope that some things would break or whatever. Could use a few secrets, like secret items that help expand on the world that our hero is in.

Overall, great game, just needs more originality and/or more combinations of ideas (Resident Evil Outbreak 1&2 used the idea of secret items to elaborate on the characters and the world in which they were in.)

UknownXL responds:

Good ideas and feedback. I will definitely work on that for the next one.

very nice game

very nice retro gamepla, it looks like you put a good effort indeed, now...where is conrad's? grandpa dude tells me to go to conrad's I walked to the left till some guy told me to kill some trolls, wich I couldnt find either, then I decided to go south of grandpa's and found the shop and then the blacksmith shop at the docks but no conrad's.

some sort direction pointer or maybe a compass would be of great help.
