Reviews for "Ragnarok: Iridescent"

A masterfully crafted venture into a world of RPG! Especially that initial stage of customizability. :D Nice work!

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

have you attempted a venture to the capital?
Your assets really liquidify from there.

Did any one even get past the boss and if so how?

or is this spam

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

get past as in defeat?
because in Ragnarok: Iridescent Transcendence the solution isn't always kill-kill-kill, a stealthy or diplomatic approach is also available, and I was trying to shoehorn in that fact with the tutorial boss.
did you know that a lot of the skill checks rely on your attributes?
For instance if you have high DEX it's a lot easier to pass the handshake check.

OMG! Just finally beat it (took me longer cause I like to try to find everything and collect items etc.), love the ending! This game is awesome I love the dynamics and story telling, a lot of effort was put into making a great game and it really shows. I was certainly surprised at the length of the game, and the amount of choices/freedom you have, especially in a flash game. The boss at the end of the first dungeon was especially tricky to deal with but I made it through.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

this is indeed a very lengthy epic game; my goal was to have different players discuss the effectiveness of different builds. For instance, just recently a playtester revealed that the merchant handshake bonus almost makes the game too trivial. It's the exploration of the fanbase that really completes the experience.

brilliant.

I laughed.

I cried.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

I took some notes from old school classic RPG to create an interactive world where, instead of the illusion of choice, you were given a full spectrum of consequences in the decisions you make.
It is what you do that makes who you are, after all.
That said, if you were able to relate to the multitude of colorful characters in this film, then I have succeeded.

Hoped to be a RPG instead it turned to be something quite amusing :D

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

In Ragnarok: Iridescent, you take the role of an unnamed adventurer out to climb the ladder.
The game emphasizes on the freedom of choice, in that, your choice in job class and dialogue decision matters. I hope you liked the game.
