Reviews for "Ragnarok: Iridescent"

Hint: Avoid the knife.

I don't understand how people think repeating this joke year after year is humorous. To me it's just repetitive and slightly annoying.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

This is no joke sir.
This RPG reflects the asymmetric of life, and how you, the player, can make life-impacting decisions that may seem insignificant at first.
When you've explored every possibility, I trust that you can truly become euphoric with the dimensions of the game.

I cannot beat the first level, is this some kind of aprils fools game?
If not, i'd appreciate some help.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

What kind of character did you build?
Every build has a different approach to the same obstacle.
You can't always expect to just 'go in and shake the boss' hand', so to speak.
Truly the dark souls experience.

One of the most realistic games I have ever played! The character building, the NPCs and their back stories, the combat system, the dialogues, the choices and their consequences, the story, especially the endings, all give a very close sense to reality. You can really relate this to your life when playing, such a master piece about love and humanity! Though I feel that the hidden ending can be better if you don't force it too much into a happy one, maybe it's just me. Overall this is a great game!

99/10 - Boss fight should always be hard.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

Thanks! I'm happy that you tried and enjoyed my game!
There are multiple endings to this game, but they are only available on New Game+
Looking back on it now, maybe it wasn't the best way to go about, but there you go!

A level of difficulty that reduces me to a shambling mess of anxiety and tears, truly meant for those looking for the dark souls experience.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

I'm glad you liked it!
I took some notes from from software and created a map where you can literally go anywhere you like - including areas and bosses that you are not yet equipped to deal with.
I was worried that this may deter some of the more casual players, but I truly hope the cinematic experience can resonate with today's touchscreen playerbase.

I love the character building in this. Gonna tell my DM about this.

ShadowWhoWalks responds:

the character building is merely a tool;
this game emphasizes on the "freedom of choice" much like the BioWare games.
it is the choice of player, coupled with his choice in character development that allows the action to not only matter, but also carry consequences.
