Reviews for "Deterministic Dungeon"

Highly addictive and fun! I really like the design of the characters, reminds me a lot of Super Chibi Knight, and that's another awesome game from you guys! I also like how this game "forces" people to be good at timing, which is a pretty nice skill to have in real life as well!

PestoForce responds:

Yeah, I'm honed in on a specific art style nowadays... and YES reaction time skills are ESSENTIAL for everyday living!

So... I was doing pretty well until I ran out of options to heal with. I had like 30 of every item, but getting a specific magic is too hard. There should be a way to trade excess armor for healing spells. Like the witches do for spells, but at any location. Cause it sucks coming out of a battle knowing you wont survive another battle.

PestoForce responds:

Yeah, I agree, the abundance of loot needs to be dealt with in a more complete way... thinking of some ideas for the mobile expansion.

Aside from being able to manipulate the game by timing your clicks, there's really nothing different about this game. I don't feel like this singular idea merits an entire game. It looks cute but ultimately the rolling just becomes a slightly controllable gimmick that slows down the pace of the game considerably. It's also weird how you don't roll for all of the attacks made against you. Anyway, the idea is cute but it just doesn't feel that interesting to me. I was expecting a game with the protagonist being an NPC and the player, being the RNG, decided whether or not to help them. Oh well.

PestoForce responds:

I like your idea for what you were expecting, you should make that game!

Quite fun. Is it possible to get this games ost anywhere?

PestoForce responds:

Not available currently, but I'll look into it!

One of the best games in newgrounds.

PestoForce responds:

Woo!
