hell yes! i love horror so much. my favorite classic slasher is the originally friday the 13th movies. only the 80s ones!

There was an old Horror club years ago. I believe I last posted in it over 5 years ago, but it was pretty popular back in the day. If this catches on again I'll be here weekly!

My folk horror addiction is kicking in again with Christmas coming. Dug my copies of The Stone Tape, Whistle and I'll Come to You and A Warning to the Curious out the loft today, they'll all be getting a rewatch before the end of the year.

Going to dive into some more Algernon Blackwood too. I bought a collected edition of all his work years ago but must have only gotten through about 1/3 of it, and not for lack of quality, The Willows and The Wendigo are both all time classics.

Glad to see fellow horror fans :) I am a horror fanatic myself and planning on having loads of DVDs/Tapes in my collection but mainly the classics more than the current ones.

Time to go on Amazon!

Watched the classic "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari" last halloween. One of the early masterpieces of the horror genre, highly recommended.

I've got the Centipede Press collection they did as part of their Weird Fiction line. Got the Lovecraft, Poe and Hodgson ones too.

H.P Lovecraft was the God tier of cosmic horror stories.

Will have to check this out, even if Hulu is a pain in the ass to access in the UK. Always enjoy a good horror anthology and there hasn't been a consitently good one since Masters of Horror, unless you count Black Mirror which definitely has strong horrror elements but is more sci-fi.

That Pooka episode sounds very similar to "The Dummy", an episode of another anthology series called Beasts, and any comparison to something by Nigel Kneale cannot be a bad thing.

I recently watched the one season of this and thaught it was some really good stuff I loved it kept me on my toes every episode some good acting aswell.

There were a few parts on the season that had me on edge so bad I literally felt the blood rush away from my feet towards the center of my body. At first I thought maybe I was going to have a panic attack, but realized that the show did such a good job of scaring me that it activated my bodies flight or fight instincts.

Sadly it ended extremely weak, but everything up to the ending was great.

I just looked into it and it seems like it's going to be one the cheesy Scyfy channel special. I don't have high hopes for it. I'm expecting a lot of low budget CG and bad acting with big breasted bimbos.

I know that's what makes a lot of B-Horror movies fun to watch, but there's something about continuing a classic that makes me wish for higher effort and quality.
