At the moment, nothing, as I'm at university. I have driven various cars in the past though, including an old Ford Fiesta, a Peugeot 206, a Ford KA, and a brand new Ford Fiesta. All manuals. The latter 2, despite being kinda girly, were probably the nicest to drive.

I haven't heard of that model up until now-the Fiesta I mean. Despite being from America, The company, Ford doesn't sell the Fiesta, or the KA here. It's Ironic that it's a top seller in other countries and they don't market it here.

They're small cars, and from what I know of America, you guys don't really do 'small', so I'm not all that surprised that they don't sell those models across the pond. ;P

Reliability ftw. Also, did any of you see that I-REAL on Top Gear? Just imagine how much fun pootling around in that must be :P

The new GT-R has to be my favourite Jap car of the year. It's so mind bendingly fast and the methods used to make them are fascinating. For example the rims for the tyres have a specially made lip on them, to stop the tyres flying off during corners at high speed. And the engines are made in a special sealed factory. And they're all hand built so no two engines are the same. Plus it looks awesome. It is a bit soulless though, it probably feels like it could drive itself without your help.

It doesn't necessarily come from outside. That part depends on if the vents are set on fresh air or recycle. But as to how the air gets warm, it is like a filter. The heater core act's the same way as the cars radiator. It uses the already heated engine coolant to heat up fins which the air passes through and gets heated. Quite simple really, but a terrible pain in the ass to replace.

Yep, usually anyway. usually warm air coming through the vents is air from outside warmed by residual heat from the engine .The internal combustion process creates a lot of heat, most of this heat is dumped outsire via the radiator, but some of it can be diverted to the passanger heating system.

Basically the cold air comes in through the vents (usually just under the windscreen) and passes through a heat exchange system and then through into the cabin.

though as somone said, the fans can also take air from inside the cabin and push THAT through the heat excange system. end result is the same, except that you're not getting any fresh air.

Actually I've found that the opposite is true. I remember at least half of the cars (if not more) had autotomatic gearboxes. Though the people who really liked cars had manual (Americans call them stick-shifts) gearboxes.

And because you don't have to pay for insurance you could afford to run a decent car without being too old to enjoy it. Or run a junker for next to nothing :)

Anyhoo, I'm off out either this year or next year, I can't wait to be back.

Looks like that car was from the game called GRID, which is for the Xbox 360. Man, that's one of the best racing games I have ever played in my lifetime. :D

That...was disturbing to say the very very least. What I want to know is how exactly? Obvious thing that comes to mind is the exhaust pipe, but I can't imagine that'd work too well. Also, this is mm favourite part of the article: He added: "There are moments way out in the middle of nowhere when I see a little car parked and I swear it needs loving. Gold lol.

I guess if you live in Washington (which is where I believe the article said he was from), and come back to find your exhaust pipe leaking some unknown fluids, you probably have reason to be concerned.

My favourite part(s) of the article are where he profusely states that he ISN'T mentally ill. Because, y'know, having sex with cars is perfectly normal behaviour.

It's 2008 truck, a little taller than that, engine looks different, and it's red. That's about all I can think of. I don't really pay attention to the wheels, unless they help me recognize a friend's car, a friend's mom's car, an aunt's car.. etc etc
